I agree. I have filled several prompts for a rarepair on this meme but when a request comes up for them I don't constantly shout about how I'm the only person that ever writes fills for them. This person is also constantly complaining of how their fills get no attention, which upsets me as neither do many of mine, but I'd never actually beg for comments - people either like my fills or they don't.

The mods might also want to note that this person has also reposted prompts because they didn't get much of a response. In fact, used the meme as a platform to say "seeing as you won't fill my prompt, tell me what to write and I will write it myself", which is certainly not how it works. (It did however get a huge response.) It doesn't actually say anything in the rules explicitly about reposting prompts, or asking for requests, but should it?

I think people on the meme should allow themselves to be braver about mentioning the rules to people who might not be clued up on meme etiquette, or this is just going to keep happening.

So. I did just that.

I think I need a lie down.

Your description of the need for anonymous posting is so well-worded, I really do think that would be the perfect way to describe the importance of anonymity in the meme's guidelines. Constantly signing your name to comments/fills/prompts certainly encourages favoritism and it really isn't fair on the rest of us.

Yes, it's not the worst crime in the world (and people are welcomed to link to fills on their AO3, FFN etc.), but it does upset other fillers to see somebody being showered in comments/attention all the time because they're demanding it and ultimately these fillers are going to leave and go elsewhere.

OP of the original thread on the discussion thread here, and I wanted to let you know that, inspired by your courage, I did it too. I went on my old prompt, and I wrote to the poster who had hijacked it, letting them know about the rules and asking them not to do this again. I tried to be super polite about it, and still nice, but I'm still shaking. Thank you for giving me the courage to do this, anon. I've needed to do it for days, and you inspired me to do it!

OP you deserve all the cuddles in the world for being so courageous and indeed so polite about your upset. I hope the Norrell to your Strange will hold your hand to stop those tremors. If not, I shall have to do it through the internet!
