PROMPT: I really want to read about a spell that goes wrong early in their acquaintance, rendering Norrell temporarily blind. Cue Norrell's immediate panic attack at the prospect of never reading again (and other things, but mostly reading), and Childermass having to take even greater charge of Norrell than usual. Bonus points if this leads to Childermass reading to Norrell, and Norrell finding himself painfully attracted to Childermass' voice. Even more bonus points for assistance leading to way more touching than Norrell is used to, which is just as overwhelming and attractive as Childermass' voice (sex optional, but would be AMAZING). All the bonus points in the world if this situation is part of what made Childermass as loyal as he is.
