Definitely not too harsh! Sure there are prompts here that aren't to our tastes, and that's why we don't fill them and move on to find prompts we do like! To have the temerity to stop, criticize the original prompt, and then take over the prompt for your own interpretation of it? That's just incredibly rude. I can certainly understand hurt feelings in that case, and I would say that your response showed admirable restraint.
