I enjoyed it so much it has stayed with me all day. I could even say it haunted me. Not so much what happened but the awful feeling of what might have been. If you were projecting onto Sir Walter it worked well. I feel for him so much. Thank goodness for Childermass and his stubbornness in going to see that the right thing is done. (I should have seen it more like that but I still feel a bit cross with Mr Norrell for his behaviour to both Childermass and Lady Pole.)

Segundus is a sweetheart. Fact and compliment combined!

This fic slots so well into canon I might forget it didn't happen. It's certainly my head canon now.
