Anybody who knows the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronvich knows that the system of magic in that was set up by Newton.

But what if they were in a world where it's was Strangite/Norrellite magics? (I mean a lot of the other stuff would still work as the RoL has fairies and other strange beings - like the living personification of rivers)

I mean Nightingale was a army magician (as per canon), maybe it became a done thing in the army following Strange to have a magician.

Not sure where I'm going with this prompt, so anything that fuses these to amazing 'verses.
