Lady Pole and John Segundus fall in love when he looks after her, and in the end she doesn't want to return to her husband. (After all it was Mr. Segundus who was there for her when she needed help, not her husband.)Possibly Lady Pole wants to become a magician too and be independent, have adventures etc.
Any ideas for a story anyone?
