OP here and, HOLY HELL YES, that is EXACTLY what I had in mind!! Were we separated at birth, Anon? Have we had some kind of mind-meld while indulging in the same naughty Norrell fantasies? And oh, that is sooo what Arabella would say to him! YES YES I apologize for yelling but I'm so excited YES!! *fans self* PERFECT!

I kind of imagine that Norrell would be frozen like a deer in headlights at first seeing Arabella naked, but once he started touching her he would be absolutely enraptured and fascinated by her body, exploring her like a newly-found book of magic, dwelling on certain places for ages and her having to remind him to move on! He might start out gentle and reverent, but increasingly lose control of himself, which I imagine Arabella would find both surprising and very amusing.

Clearly we definitely have had some sort of mind-meld because that's EXACTLY what I was thinking. I just can't get over how careful and cautious and self-conscious Norrell would be at first and how he'd slowly forget about that and let go as it went on. And Arabella would be so patient with him and, also, take things exactly where she wanted to go, guh. I am so sorry.

also for your possible consideration: at some point while they're kissing he does something that she realizes he must have picked up from Strange and she's forcefully reminded of the fact that they've been doing this too and she hadn't really considered it in detail thus far but damn is she into that mental image. Okay, I'll stop now.

(am I working towards an eventual threesome, in my head? MAYBE.)

OP again: You are KILLING ME Anon! Yes, yes, and absolutely yes! I totally want Arabella getting excited thinking about what Norrell has picked up from Strange, and then imagining them together - maybe prior to this it was something she hadn't really wanted to think about but suddenly she finds that it turns her on.

I think Norrell would be cautious and hesitant at first simply because he's never been with a woman before. He could adapt to being with Jonathan because Jonathan had all the same "equipment," but a woman's body is like a strange faerie land to him: somewhat intimidating but ultimately fascinating. I also think Arabella would guide him to what she finds pleasurable and what he should do. Norrell might also be nervous initially whenever Arabella moans or cries out, wondering if he's hurt her - and Arabella would of course have to say something along the lines of "Don't be an idiot, Gilbert, that's not the sound of someone in pain," though of course she'd say it much more nicely than that!

Threesome? You won't hear any complaints from me! Though I would like it if, initially at least, Jonathan is a bit shocked. It's Arabella and Norrell, after all: their relationship has never been terribly warm. But I think he would get quite turned on by it, especially if he caught them in the act or found them in each other's arms quite worn out and satisfied by what's taken place.

Oh, I agree, that certainly makes sense! It would be very surprising for Jonathan at first, no doubt. And possibly a bit awkward at first for Norrell and Arabella (more than a bit if he caught them in the act, I would imagine). So they'd probably all have to adjust a bit mentally before getting all three of them in bed together, although I'm sure the effort would be well worth it.
