I headcanon Norrell as being ridiculously ticklish, so I want Childermass tickling him. It could be an innocent tickle in the library, a tickle to annoy him, one to cheer him up and make him giggle, or even one that is part of a post-coital embrace. I just want Norrell getting tickled and his mega-cute response to it.

I would be happy with a drabble for this seriously. Or a mini-fic. Or a paragraph. Anything.

OKAY that's incredibly adorable.

.....I may do something. No promises so anyone else who has inspiration please go for it, but this is so cute and needs filled.

All right, I guess I'm doing it after all, because I wrote this real quick before school on account of the fact that I couldn't leave it alone. I hope it's okay! It's really very tiny. I hope someone does something a bit more!

Norrell was grumpy to-night.

Childermass did not know what had occasioned it, but he did know that he was absolutely not going to share a bed with someone who would likely steal all the covers from spite.

So he said, "Come, sir, tell me. Why are you cross?"

"I am not cross," said Norrell entirely crossly.

Childermass raised an eyebrow. "You do a very good impersonation of someone who is," he said.

Norrell made a face and folded his arms. "I am not," he repeated.

"I see," said Childermass solemnly. "Then you will not mind if I - " He reached out his hands.

Too late, Norrell noticed where he was going and made a small noise in his throat that was cut off in a strangle when Childermass's hands reached his belly.

"Childermass!" he shrieked as Childermass's fingers tickled at the soft pudge at his sides.

"You said you were not cross, sir," said Childermass. He migrated his arms up to Norrell's armpits and tickled there too.

Norrell was clearly trying to restrain his laughter, and failing very badly. His breath was coming in short little pants as he wiggled. "Chil - der - mass!" he wheezed, and then gave in.

It started with a little giggle, incongruous from Norrell Then his face broke out with a smile and he began laughing in earnest.

It astonished Childermass how very open and, really, how peculiarly lovely Norrell looked when he laughed. It was such a rare sight that Childermass had never quite yet developed a resistance to it. Every time it made him want to reach out and touch his face, kiss the corners of his mouth. Every time it felt like a new revelation.

He did not think any one else had seen this side of Norrell. It was very satisfying, knowing he was the only one who made him laugh like this.

His fingers worked at Norrell's arms, then back down to his sides. Norrell squirmed, throwing an arm over his eyes as he laughed breathlessly.

"Mercy," gasped Norrell.

"Do you concede?"

"I concede! I concede!"

Childermass removed his hands, and made an arch face down at Norrell. "There now," he said.

Norrell lay there a little while longer, getting his wind back. "I do not see," he wheezed, "Why you find that so very amusing."

"Have you any objections?"

"It is very undignified."

"But do you enjoy it?"

"I have not stopped you yet, have I?" said Norrell.

"That is not a yes."

"It is not a no."

Childermass shrugged. It was probably the best he would get. He lay his head down on the pillow next to Norrell and put his arms around him, gently this time. Norrell gave a contented sigh and tilted his face upward for a kiss, in which matter Childermass gladly obliged him.

"You are very impertinent," said Norrell drowsily. He snuggled into Childermass, hiding his face in his shoulder and wrapping his arms around him in return.

Childermass's mouth crooked into a long smile. "Yes, sir," he said, stroking Norrell's hair.

And so it was that they fell asleep.

Ohhhh wowwww!!! I am the luckiest! To get a fill so quickly and such a wonderful perfect one at that! This was absolutely adorable and my jaw hurts a little from how much I was smiling while reading it!!!
