Mermaid AU

There are a lot of references to the sea in JS&MN: I would love to read about the English magicians coming across English mermaids. I don't mind if the mermaid is an OC or if one of the characters is turned into a mermaid/merman, I just think it would be really interesting to see Strange/Norrell's reactions to these magical creatures!

Interesting! And after all, at the end of the book, doesn't Strange say something about him and Norrell having a new theory on naiads? It's only a short jump from there to nereids, and from there to mermaids. :)
