Prompt: Something I've been thinking about lately is the fact that Norrell and Childermass parted on bad terms after Childermass left Hurtfew Abbey for the final time. As Childermass was in Norrell's service for many, many years, I would imagine it was a regretful parting of the ways, especially as they never got to reconcile. I don't necessarily mean this from a shippy point of view, but I would love to read some angsty fic of either/both of them (bonus points if you can make it from Childermass' point of view, just because) coming to terms with the fact that they might never see each other again and that things ended badly between them.

I'm thrilled! Somebody told me tonight that maybe my fills weren't getting the love because I always forget to put them in Filled Prompts--some people only check there rather than the threaded postings.

So it's wonderful to find one up already. (As far as the love goes, it has two comments. Oh, and it's on AO3 as well.)

Prompt: I'd love to see Norrell drunk. Maybe he goes to one of his many parties and has a bit too much to cope with nerves. Maybe Lascelles keeps filling his glass over dinner hoping to learn some juicy magical secrets. However you get there, drunk Norrell, and Childermass having to deal with the situation and his master who is not quite his usual self.

Prompt and Fill: Arranged marriage au - because every fandom needs one:
Childermass, a commoner who got quite rich, knows that he needs a way to be more respectable if he wants to do business with some gentlemen from London. The perfect solution is to marry somebody with respectable name and no money. When he hears about Segundus, gentleman from good family that after his father's death was left penniless he knows he found somebody just desperate enough to help him with his plan.

At the beginning they marriage is a catastrophe - because Segundus is just a boring timid mouse that Childermass had to marry to ensure his business success and Segundus doesn't really care about dark thug he had to marry, he just wanted to pay off his family debts to make sure their name is well respected.

One day somebody (Lascelle prbably) says some shit about Raven King, Segundus quickly shows what he thinks about this kind of talk about the best magicians in the history of English magic and Childermass discovers his husband is neither timid not boring when he cares about something deeply.
