Honeyfoot/Segundus - the magician who gave up magic

(Anonymous) 2015-06-22 12:57 pm (UTC)(link)
I would love something exploring Honeyfoot and Segundus's relationship and the fact that Honeyfoot signed the agreement with Norrell not to do magic again. I've always thought Honeyfoot's willingness to sign away his own chances of it just because he so keenly believed in it was incredibly brave and selfless, and it must be endlessly painful to know and see so many people around him doing magic, and always have to abstain because he's a man of his word. I would love something where Segundus recognizes his angst and faux-stoicism about this and tries to find ways to make Segundus fully involved and experiencing magic while still respecting that Honeyfoot is a man of his word and that matters to him just as much as magic does.

Maybe some of the Starecross students scoff at him/don't take him seriously because he's not a real magician and yet he's presuming to teach them about magic? Maybe Segundus suggests that although Honeyfoot cannot do magic, that doesn't mean magic can't be done to him? Honeyfoot is old and plain and unremarkable, and probably has doubts that a young, beautiful magician who could be anywhere he wanted in life would want him of all things.

Really, anything about their relationship would be so loved, I just really want to read some angsty insecure Honeyfoot trying to push Segundus away and Segundus assertively not letting him.

(Smut optional but it would be COMPLETELY ADORED.)

this is really good.

Childermass/Segundus au

(Anonymous) 2015-06-22 07:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Ok so imagine that during 4th episode when Childermass wants to talk to Lady Pole and Segundus tells him no Childermass just faints all over Segundus (he was just shot, the road was long and cold - what did he expected?).

Now Childermass must stay few days in bed to get better. Segundus to make sure he is not harassing Lady Pole spend day and nights by his bedside.

Take it from there :)

Childermass, hiding the fact that he has hayfever

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 12:05 am (UTC)(link)
What it says on the tin. Can be any time, with anyone. Just give me a sneezy, sniffly Childermass desperately trying to be stoic despite the fact that he's horribly embarrassed by his spring affliction.

Bonus points for Childermass losing his composure completely.
Double bonus points if Norrell notices and fixes it with magic.

Childermass/Drawlight - Drawlight redecorating the King's Roads.

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 06:27 am (UTC)(link)
Book!Drawlight, please. Book spoiler warning to follow:

...

...

...

Okay, so, I've always been in denial of the horrible thing that happened to Drawlight in the end, so all these years I've had the headcanon that when his body turned into a tree, he was actually teleported away and trapped in either Faerie or the King's Roads.

Naturally, the first thing he'd do is start redecorating the dreary place! And then Childermass encounters him while passing through and it goes from there~

Childermass/Norrell - voyeur Strange and Strange/Norrell if you like

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 06:47 am (UTC)(link)
Unsettled by the mirror spell's suggestion that Norrell is his enemy, Strange continues to use it to spy on Norrell from time to time, always, inevitably, finding him reading. Late one night he decides to see if the man ever actually sleeps and casts the spell again, only to witness Norrell being soundly buggered by Childermass.

Re: Childermass/Norrell - voyeur Strange and Strange/Norrell if you like

I am so down with this. Particularly if Strange finds himself unexpectedly turned on.

Stephen/Not Thistledown (book spoilers)

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 03:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I've always loved rando fairy who greets Stephen and welcomes him into the brugh at the end--fur-face, lamb's wool hair, and a tendency to address 30-something guys as "grandfather"? Total dreamboat. Anyway, I'd love fic from the very early period of Stephen acclimating to and altering the brugh, with that guy acting as his guide/herald/inescapable buddy. And if they bone, well, that's nice too. (if you want to play it serious: bonus points for a slow process of Stephen learning that he can take what he wants without any danger of him turning into his predecessor, bonus points for him still being very bitter in his thinking and vestigial-English, bonus points for him getting into a fight with a tree. Ok not all serious. I'm just saying, once you open the can of worms that is interacting on an equal plane with inanimate objects, tree fights are never far away. Even for the king.)

Fashion jsamn au

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 10:21 pm (UTC)(link)
The gentleman works in the fashion industry and Stephen and Segundus are new workers.
Stephen going to the fashion industry because one day he was making pants and thought Emma Pole would like pants, and she tried them on and by god, she loves them and demands him to start a line for pants. So he does and meets the Gentleman.
Segundus invented something by accidentally, and got signed up to the company. Childermass is the model. and Norrell is the sketch artists.
Jonathan is the photographer.

Norrell/Strange - Puppy!Strange, potential dub-con, dom/sub, humiliation, ye olde petplay(?)

(Anonymous) 2015-06-23 10:59 pm (UTC)(link)
This prompt is gonna sound weird no matter how I write it, but here goes:
While experimenting with magic (dabbling in curses? Lycanthropy?), Jonathan's meddling backfires. He now believes he is a dog. Fearing negative publicity or the mad house for Jonathan, Norrell has no choice but to take his student in. Whilst trying to figure out a way to get Strange to come to his senses, Norrell, at first enraged by the other magician's delight in trashing his library, begins to find himself secretly enjoying Jonathan's intermittent obedience, muteness, and endearing puppy-like mannerisms. (Not that he was that different from a puppy to begin with...) How all of this ends is up to you.
Bonus points if collars/bed sharing/snuggling/begging for treats is involved, with Norrell's composure and patience being inevitably eroded by his newfound responsibilities. Many bonus points if Childermass is an unenthusiastic but surprisingly good nanny to Jonathan when Norrell has a moment's peace to study. A mountain of points if A!A can work some smut into it. Because naturally puppies lack a gentleman's inhibitions, and Jonathan is so very eager to please his Master.

...I'll see myself out.

Norrell/Emma Pole - One-Sided (?)

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 12:23 am (UTC)(link)
Mr. Norrell can't remember the last time he felt any romantic longing - if he ever did at all. But that changes when he first sees Emma Wintertowne at Sir Walter's house. He is considerably startled and confused by his feelings and has no idea how to react to them - or how to act around Lady Pole. And the deal he makes with The Gentleman naturally complicates everything all the more.

Wow, seconding this.

Strange/Norrell - Post-Book Domestic Fic

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I've had a rough day, and I really just want to curl up with a lovely bit of adorable fluff in the form of Strange and Norrell attempting to figure out domesticity after the end of the book. Since they no longer have servants, one assumes they have to cook, clean and do laundry, so I want to see them attempting to do chores and failing spectacularly. I want magic to be easy, but ordinary tasks like mending a tear in a sleeve or treating a stubbed toe to be absolutely bamboozling. Just ... please, bring me all the humor and the cuteness and the ridiculousness you can conjure. Slash optional but very welcome.

Strange/Drawlight - pillar of darkness hatesex/dubcon

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 06:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Venice Strange/Drawlight, where Drawlight is nervous and trying to do his task of spying on Jonathan Strange, and Strange is in the throes of madness and still angry about Drawlight's scheme of pretending to sell magic lessons on Strange's behalf. Strange knows Drawlight's here to spy on him, but is not in his right mind to be able to handle and address this in a healthy way.

Full-con, dub-con, and non-con are all fine (though considering Strange's altered mental state it's hard to argue this isn't at least a little dubious.)

Re: Strange/Drawlight - pillar of darkness hatesex/dubcon

Seconded. I wanted to request something similar with more fearplay and scared to death!Drawlight, because damn the cast, their encounter in the sixth episode could be so hot. (Still kinda was, duh.)

Christopher Drawlight is John Uskglass (and other unlikely outcomes)

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
In the novel, John Uskglass is described as being generally young, pretty, and sort of delicate-looking, with his characteristically raven-dark hair. Christopher Drawlight in the book is also generally given as being dainty, dark-haired, and pretty. Would love a fic where obnoxious, over the top Christopher Drawlight was in fact the Raven King trolling all the other characters all along for his own general amusement. The Raven King originally planned to stay hands off and be totally cool and reserved like a badass deity, but then that was boring and he really really wanted to be more involved in egging people on to extremes of emotion, so he decided to be an aggressively social-climing fop for maximum lulz.

Childermass/Arabella - Sexual Tension and So Much More

(Anonymous) 2015-06-24 09:47 pm (UTC)(link)
After Jonathan leaves for the Peninsula, Mr. Norrell realizes that he is missing a book that wasn't on Jonathan's list. He guesses that Jonathan took it home with him one day to study and so Norrell sends Childermass to Jonathan and Arabella's home to retrieve it. Childermass is obliged to visit several times when Norrell suspects that a missing book may be at Jonathan's. Arabella is initially cold, hostile, and suspicious towards Childermass; Childermass is initially dismissive towards Arabella. But the sexual tension should build and build until, against the better sense of both of them, it positively explodes.

It could be hatesex, it could be genuine desire and feelings, or it could be simple lust. I leave that up to the imagination of the writer. Just make it hot. ;)

Stephen/the Gentleman, post-book

(Anonymous) 2015-06-25 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
While I don't doubt but that the gentleman is deader than dead at the end of the book, I wouldn't be surprised if he lingered a bit as a presence in Stephen's thoughts--and in Faerie, where the boundary between ideas and reality seems pretty tenuous, that might be a fairly haunting process, although also potentially a cathartic one.

So! Anything about Stephen ignoring unwanted advice from his most persistent hallucination, or getting visited in dreams, or even just remembering past interactions in the context of his new knowledge and understanding of Faerie. I would not by any means want a sympathetic portrayal of the gentleman, but it'd be nice to fill in some of his backstory as an ally of the Aureate magicians, and maybe get a sense of a younger, less-corrupt entity that was--if nothing else, as a mirror for a less corrupt England. I'd especially love it if the resolution involved some kind of interaction between Stephen and John Uskglass about the latter's neglect of both his Faerie and mortal kingdoms, with Stephen equal parts uninvested and yet irritated by it (and maybe more irritated on the fairies' behalf than the humans'?)

Drawlight/Lascelles

(Anonymous) 2015-06-25 02:33 pm (UTC)(link)
As someone who had not read the novel, I didn't know the nature of Drawlight and Lascelles' relationship when they were first introduced. However, I immediately assumed that Lascelles was supposed to be Drawlight's lover, or Drawlight a friend with benefits, i.e. in it for the idle company, money and sex, or something like that.
Therefore I would like to read something exploring that. Maybe their relationship is established and the centre of much scandal and intense gossip, or perhaps it was just a one-time drunken fling over a card table. Could be hate-filled, unexpectedly fluffy, one-sided, I don't mind. I should add that I adore height/size difference pairings. As pretty as the literary Drawlight is supposed to be, I feel that his poor dumpy TV counterpart needs some love too, even if he is an 'odious little man'. :P However, if A!A would prefer to write them as they appear in the novel's canon, I won't mind at all. Basically all I want is to read about these two awful men as a couple.

Childermass/Norrell/Strange - Sex Spell

(Anonymous) 2015-06-26 01:31 pm (UTC)(link)
Back when Jonathan was studying with Norrell, Norrell purchases a new book. They're going over it together, having a ton of fun, when they accidentally cast one of the spells. They don't realize anything is wrong (they're too busy making out or something), but Childermass walks in, figures it out, and clears the house with his usual efficiency (bonus points if he's exceptionally efficient removing Lascelles and Drawlight). He's going to check on the magicians one more time (for whatever reason) before leaving himself, but Norrell pulls him in. Author's choice if Childermass remains unaffected by the spell and conflicted about whether or not he should be indulging in this, or if he goes under as well and has the time of his life with no doubts. End result (aside from the obvious) is also totally up to the author.

Basically, this is all just an elaborate setup for a Childermass/Norrell/Strange threesome fic with a healthy dose of added sex magic. Three magicians under the same roof for a time, with one of them reckless, one of them book-crazy, and only one of them really practical and prepared for any eventuality? This needed to have happened!

Norrell/Strange - One-Sided Ogling, Childermass Eye-Rolling

(Anonymous) 2015-06-26 05:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Just a short, simple request. While studying an old book of magic Jonathan tries out a spell and accidentally sets his shirt on fire. Naturally he rips it off to avoid being burned. Norrell is rendered an inarticulate, babbling mess by the sight. Childermass witnesses all and responds with his accustomed eye-rolling and sass.

Bonus points for Norrell struggling to come up with some excuse to touch Jonathan. Extra bonus points for Childermass trying to explain to a bewildered, slightly dim Jonathan just why Norrell has suddenly turned into a puddle of quivering goo.

Strange/Anyone - Tamed

(Anonymous) 2015-06-26 06:56 pm (UTC)(link)
"I told you Strange should be tamed!"

In which Norrell gets his way and Strange is... tamed. By whomever and whatever means, imprisonment and/or magical restraints (the magical equivalent of an ankle tracker?) a plus. Unstable Strange a double plus.

Re: Strange/Anyone - Tamed

(Anonymous) 2015-06-26 07:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, this. This.

I can think of some great options here. Does Strange also get sent to Starecross for safekeeping? I would absolutely read Strange/Segundus, for example: they have a great friendship in the books and it doesn't get any screentime in the TV series. Or I would read something darker where the Gentleman is absolutely delighted to toy with Strange now that he's had his wings clipped and can't put up any defense to whatever the Gentleman might do. Or straight up Strange/Norrell, because maybe here Norrell doesn't really see why you can't keep a thing in a cage and also have it love you. NO END TO THE POSSIBILITIES, EXCELLENT PROMPT. :D

Childermass in love with Segundus and really annoyed about it

(Anonymous) 2015-06-26 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Childermass' cards tell him he is in love with Segundus he doesn't believe it but they've never been wrong before.

He can't stop thinking about it and watching Segundus at every opportunity. Possibly he realizes Segundus is adorably innocent and vulnerable and so he becomes a kind of protective stalker.

Yes please.

sex worker Childermass

Childermass, in between being a thief in a child-gang and meeting Norrell, engaged in sex-work. Maybe he recognized he was already inclined a certain way and decided he might as well get paid for it, maybe he thought (rightly) that getting access to gentlemen's beds would mean easier access to gentlemen's books, or maybe he just needed quick money for food. Maybe Lascelles finds out about this and attempts to hold it over his head? I just have a hankering for ex-prostitute Childermass. But please no Norrell hiring Childermass for sex.

Childermass/Lascelles/Drawlight - threesome, jealousy

(Anonymous) 2015-06-27 01:41 am (UTC)(link)
(Tiny, pretty book!Drawlight.)

Drawlight totally had a crush on Childermass when he mistook him for Norrell. I need a fic where he just keeps flirting with Childermass and Lascelles gets angry and jealous.

Bonus points if it ends with Childermass & Lascelles both fucking (dping, spitroasting, whatever) him at the same time while glaring at each other.

PROMPT IS MADE OF WIN!!

I love how Drawlight described Childermass at the beginning, he totally had the hots for him.
